Florida's public alligator harvest program is one of the world's greatest wildlife management success stories. Carefully regulated hunting has helped maintain quality, healthy alligator populations while providing hunters a unique opportunity to experience Florida's wild places and natural resources.
Our goal is not simply to harvest an alligator - we strive to provide an authentic Floridian outdoor experience built on respect for wildlife, public lands, and the God-given natural resources that make these adventures possible.
Ethical Hunting
Ethical hunting begins with preparation, professionalism,and strict adherence to Florida Law. Every guided hunt is conducted in accordance with currect Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations, and we review the state's alligator hunting regulations and legal methods of take before each season to ensure our practice remain current.
We emphasize safe, humane, and efficient harvest methods while educating our clients on proper hunting techniques, legal requirements, and the importance of conservation-based wildlife management.
Respect for Public Lands
We specialize in Florida's public waters, because we beleive they offer one of the most authentic hunting experiences available. Every alligator pursued is truly wild, and every successful harvest is earned through preparation, scouting, teamwork, and patience.
Public lands belong to everyone. We encourage our clients to respect fellow anglers, boaters, birdwatchers, and outdoor enthusiasts while leaving each area cleaner than they found it. We believe hunters should be ambassadors for the outdoors, helping maintain a positive image for our sporting commmunity as well.
Utilizing the entire harvest
We encourage clients to make full use of their harvest through meat processing, taxidermy, leatherwork, and other products whenever possible.
If a client does not wish to retain certain usable portions, we make every effort to ensure those materials are put to productive use, rather than being discarded as waste.
By minimizing waste, we honor both the animal and Florida's tradition of responsible, sustainable hunting.
Environmental Stewardship
Conservation extends far beyond hunting season. We strive to minimize our environmental footprint by making thoughtfl choices both n and off the water. Whenever possible, we use biodegradable or environmentally preferable products aboard our vessels to reduce the potential impact should an item accidentally enter the environment.
Captain Twigg is also a certified Florida Friendly Fishing Guide, reflecting an ongoing commitment to fisheries stewardship, boating ethics, and responsible outdoor recreation. Continuing education and annual review of the state regulations help ensure our guiding practices remain current and environmentally responsible.
